Will a brita water filter filter out the alcohol in mouthwash?

I want the alcohol seperated from everything else in the mouthwash. So I want everything else filtered out.

April 21, 2007 | 6:41 AMBelieve it or not, if you filter it enough you might make the alcohol content higher. Not because more alcohol is being created but because a charcoal filter will not trap alcohol. I doubt that it would change the mouthwash at all, but if anything, it would remove other components of the mouthwash. The easy solution would be to purchase some alcohol free mouthwash and then mix it with the other kind until you had a potency you felt more comfortable with (I am assuming that you are trying to keep it from burning so much.)

April 26, 2007 | 9:07 AMNo because alcohol isn’t the only liquid used in mouthwash. Also filtering doesn’t separate liquids only removes the solids. Oh and please don’t follow up with a question asking if you can filter NyQuil. LOL!
