If I buy a water softener that has a built in whole house water filter, do I need to remove the filter on my water dispenser on my refridgerator so that my water isn’t ‘too’ filtered? Someone told me that and I find that hard to believe, so I’m coming to the experts for advice. Thanks!

We have well water and were looking into getting the Waterboss 700; there are 2 people in my household.

What are some of the products out there and how can these products be installed and/or linked together? Can you use a softener, a Reverse-Osmosis and a UV filter all at once, for instance? Are there systems that do all of this without having to “chain” them together?

I wish I never bought the crazy thing. it has a prefilter on it I do know how to change except I’m afraid I will bust the pex and want to know if there is an easy way to fix it.
