Water Purifier

Important questions about water purifiers

For anyone who has knowledge of sea monkeys?

water purifier
Annie asked:

Heyy. I got a sea monkey tank on Sunday for Easter and I put tap water in instead of bottled water. I then put in the water purifier that came with the sea-monkey packet. But, then I realized I was supposed to put bottled water in, so I didn’t put the sea monkey eggs in because I thought they would die. Well, today, I looked in the tank, and there was a tiny white speck with a little tail swimming and doing somersaults. Now, there other mini white specks, too. But, I didn’t put the eggs in!! Was there something in the water purifier?? Thanks in advance for your answers–they are appreciated!! =^)
It looks like a sea monkey, I could see it has legs, but is it possible that it could be just by putting in the water purifier?? Thanks!! =^)

Are you concerned about the water you drink?

water purifier
Eco/Enviro Girl asked:

This is actually a couple of questions in one and my neice is doing a project on public awarness of non-filtered water…. So please bear with me…. ;~) Thanks in advance,

Are you concerned about what it in the water you drink? Why?

Studies have shown that there are tons of chemicals that cannot be removed and some that are also added when the water is “cleaned” at the water planet… Including chlorine, lead, mercury, medicine/drug residues etc… Another interesting thing is while the water plants deem the water safe when it leaves their plants it does come through some old pipes (some could be lead) underground, and your house pipes as well before making it to your sink, shower, etc….

If you are concerned about the water what are you doing to counteract it? Are you also using a water purifier when doing the dishes (by hand) and when you take a shower?

“Americans are becoming more aware of the contaminants in our nation’s water supplies and many are installing water filters to purify their drinking water. Yet most continue to bathe and shower straight from the tap, unaware that inhaling unfiltered shower vapors (steam) is more harmful than actually drinking the water itself. During a shower, toxic chloroform evaporates into the surrounding air you breathe. The Center for Study of Responsive Law’s, Troubled Water on Tap report, states that over 2,100 contaminants have been found in drinking water. Of those 2,100, 190 are known to cause adverse health effects. In total, 97 carcinogens, 82 mutagens and suspected mutagens (cause cell mutations), 23 tumor promoters and 28 acute and chronic toxic contaminants have been detected in U.S. drinking water.”

The excerpt above is from http://www.bidness.com/esd/showering.htm

Thanks again everyone! :~)
LOL sorry about the spelling…. I realize my neice put several in there and I did not take a good look at it….. Planet = plant LOL and the rest of the spelling mistakes….. LOL

What is the best dry food for a 3 year old JRT?

water purifier
bosawx17 asked:

I have a Jack Russell Terrier that I have on IAMS puppy food still. Now I know IAMS is not as good as it is advertised after doing some research. Just about monthly she goes through a 3-4 day span where she has diarrhea, then it just goes away. The insides of her ears get read and irritated every once in a while as well.

I live in Arizona and I know the tap water here is not good to drink whatsoever so I am going to go buy a water purifier for her water.

Any advice on dry food is much welcomed! I read that Merrick’s is an extremely good brand but I really don’t want to pay $75 a bag for a 30 lb. bag of dog food. I can handle a $40-$50 bag.

Last question is how much should I be feeding her a day?

Thanks in advance!

Water filter on fridge isn’t working, why?

water filter
breisingermela asked:

My husband checked to make sure everything was attached and on, we looked in the manual and it said to press on dispenser lever for at least 2 minutes and if they doesn’t work, to change the filter cause it may be clogged. Well we tried all of them and needless to say they didn’t work. We took the NEW filter out again and that was filled with water…if the water line wasn’t working, would it still get to the filter? Any ideas or suggestions before I call the manufacturer or plumber? Thanks in advance.
YES, it is still making ice, just no water.

Can hot water damage a water filter?

water filter
maniacgohan asked:

My plumber recently installed a water filtration system under my kitchen sink and when he left I noticed that the filter was hooked up to the hot water instead of cold. I called him and asked him what to do and he told me to shut the water off. So now I am just wondering if it has been damaged because of the hot water running through it. Thanks in advance!
