How do I raise Sea Monkeys without buying from the company?

manualsearch asked:

So, I’ve had sea monkeys growing since Christmas. They’re pretty cool, not really a huge hassle… but my issue is that I don’t want to have to spend three dollars or whatever for that TINY little packet of food.

So, what exactly is IN that food? I mean, there’s got to be something in it, right? What is it? I’m sure I could find a better way to get it, more for a cheaper price or something.

Anyway, what’s the purifier, too? As the water level drops, I have to replace it with bottled water, but… will that hurt them eventually? If I keep replacing it with bottled water, will they die from the water? Or do I need to find some purifier for a second tank, and then transplace the monkeys in that one? How do I make that water purifier?

Run down:
What is in the sea monkey food, and the sea monkey water purifier? How do I keep them living without having to pay the company way too much for tiny little pathetic-sized packets?

Should I get the one ou attach to the faucet, or the pitcher. I think the pitcher would be time comsuming. I’d like to try the faucet one, since you won’t run out and have to refill it and its basically hassle free….what do you think?

Okay, I tried Googling, and I would appreciate not getting silly answers! So I bought a water filter today, as it was time to change filters, but the wrapper had been opened. Umm… should I still use it or go through the hassle of returning it?
