Paris Hilton?

How many people here have heard of Dean Kamen?

You may have seen some of his inventions- heck, one of them, the Segway, is becoming common among tourist rental places and law enforcement of big cities.

He built a highly advanced wheelchair that can cover nearly any terrain, even climb stairs, and balance on two wheels.

He built a very articulate robotic arm that offers around 17 degrees of motion to people that have lost their own. Previously, the most you could get about 5 to 7.

Most recently that I heard of, he appeared on the Colbert Report with a very good water purifier that extracted clean water out of anything and everything put in it.

If a man that could change the world isn’t getting recognition and a few dumb celebrities get it because *OH MAH GAWD* they stepped out of a limo with a mini skirt and no underwear, what does that say about us?
*have heard of Paris Hilton or Britney Spears… Answers mutilated my question!
