Important questions about water purifiers

« Does the Brita filter always need to be in water?

do anyone remember the product line called silver rain water purifiers, conditioners and shampoo? »

Should I continue buying bottled water or get a water filter?

water filter
cheerful2 asked:

I have been buying either bottled water or going to one of the water machines and filling up my water jugs. We live in CA and where we live the taste of the water is fine. My husband things buying water is crazy and says that those filling machines are the same thing as if we had a filter. So, would it be worth it just to get one of those sink attachment filters? Do those work well?

I have a filter, and it paid itself off in no time because #1 you dont have to go out and waste gas( just ot get water) #2 you dont have to waste more money buying water.

We have a filter on our sink because that way we know it is cost efficent, and we are getting filtered water. They have done investigating researches and found some of the companies are selling you regular water for filtered water, and they have also done laboratory tests on the machines and found it full of bacteria which is passed into the container when you fill your bottle with water. You also cannot sterilize the containers you take causes your chances of getting an intestinal infection causing diarrhea and vomiting.

buy a filter and see if you like that
i think it is cheaper to just buy the filter and use that instead of bottled water
also, you can buy gatorade bottles or other bottles like that and wash them out after you finish the drink and then refill them with tap water if you love to drink out of that type of container

If you are on a good municipal system, even the filter is a waste of time and money. If you are on a municipal system that traditionally has problems, and they HAVE to tell you if you ask, or on a well, then filter.

Bottled water is about three times the price of gas and a total waste of money.

1.5 million tons of plastic are used in the bottled water industry every year. Plus, a lot of bottled water is just tap water and there is still a risk of getting contaminated water in bottled water. So, I’d say go for the filter.

it may be better for you just to buy a water filter, because if you think about it, the long run it would cost less to buy a filter then to pay for bottled water. Hope That Helps!

i would say, both , because the water filter is less expensive than constantly buying water bottles but then again you need a backup all the time. for example, i live in canada and it rains a lot. and rain causes mudslides, and a little while back there were a few mudslides and the dirt got trapped into the water system and the only way of removing it was to boil the water( trust me it was a lot of work) and about a week later all waterbottles in every store you went into were out of stock. both is best!!! but onlt use the bottles for emergeny, they are a life saver, literally

I have a water filter in the fridge dispenser so I don’t use one on the tap.

Consider getting your water tested to see if it is okay to drink as is or if you would need a filter. If you buy bottled, refill bottles and then recycle the jugs.
