How long did it take for your sea monkeys to hatch?
erinny2000 asked:
For those who have or have had sea monkeys in the past, how long did it take for your sea monkeys to hatch? I’ve had sea monkeys in the past but I forgot how long it took for mine to hatch. I did the right thing and put in the water purifier and waited 24 hours and put in the eggs today but they didn’t hatch instantly. I’m thinking the water’s still a bit too cool for them maybe…or maybe I just can’t see them.

January 5, 2009 | 4:47 AMYou won’t be able to see them for several days after they hatch. They are prettty tiny.

January 7, 2009 | 11:45 AMI see you have already had the clowns , so honesty “sea monkeys” are just a tiny shrimp and you can have just as much fun buying brine shrimp eggs. They will hatch in 24 hours at 82 degrees F and 36 hours at 78 degrees F . What ever hatches lives for about 2 weeks then they die . That is the life span . I hope this helps and I wish marketers would stop selling these as they are just shrimp they are not like the picture on the cover of the packages.

January 8, 2009 | 11:52 PMit took mine four days until i could actually see them because of how small they are. but this will probably be different for all sea monkeys depending on what environment they are in.
good luck with them
