My husband checked to make sure everything was attached and on, we looked in the manual and it said to press on dispenser lever for at least 2 minutes and if they doesn’t work, to change the filter cause it may be clogged. Well we tried all of them and needless to say they didn’t work. We took the NEW filter out again and that was filled with water…if the water line wasn’t working, would it still get to the filter? Any ideas or suggestions before I call the manufacturer or plumber? Thanks in advance.
YES, it is still making ice, just no water.

PinkKitt’n asked:
I used to remember our old water purifier from the early ’80’s. When I opened it, I discovered that our water filter contained black coals? So if I wanted to shovel snow in front of the driveway and place the shovelled snow in a barrel for water conservation purposes, can the snow be filtered (went it melts) if I dumped black coals in a barrel and poured the snow over it or would it be wiser to use the cholorox purifying method instead?

I’m wondering if the water filter really is doing it’s job. I can kinda feel my left kidney and am imagining build-up from under-filtered water running through it. Ever heard of people getting kidney stones from drinking tap water?

Okay, I tried Googling, and I would appreciate not getting silly answers! So I bought a water filter today, as it was time to change filters, but the wrapper had been opened. Umm… should I still use it or go through the hassle of returning it?

Orchid asked: I only need a small water filter, counter top. I don’t know why I can’t make one, but it has been difficult to find information, instruction or ingredients.
I would think that carbon would be one ingredient. I want the water to taste better, and remove the bad minerals, and organisms. I don’t want to remove the good minerals.
I live in a high rise that is about 60 years old, and it uses city water. The city is on the shore of Lake Michigan.
I really don’t want to put a lot of money into buying a counter top water filter system, since I’m on Social Security, and have to cut costs as many ways as possible.
Some things I’ve learned in my searches, is that the carbon can become contaminated over time, and should be changed periodicly. I also learned that batting below the carbon can remove small pieces of the carbon. But, are there other ingredients I need, and how do I build it?
