Old Cynic asked:
Its just that the lcd indicator on the lid lasts 4 weeks. in a household of 1 person, perhaps a liter a day would be used, ie 30 liters a month/replacement filter. In a household of 5 people perhaps 5 liters a day would be processed, ie 150 liters a month/replacement.
ZClearly if the filter is just as adequate to filter 30 liters a month as it is 150 liters a month then either the single person is being badly ripped off or the family of five risk drinking crappy water.

The system they sell in Sav-On and stores like that all show the filter fitting over a typical kitching sink faucet. Does an adapter or something exist for use in a bathroom?

I have a GE model refrigerator in which there is a knob at the bottom grill to turn to the left 1/4 of the way in order to pull out and replace the filter. I rent and this is my first time doing this and It wont come “unstuck” Am I doing something wrong? Is this common or am I just super weak?

My husband would prefer NOT to have a separate faucet line for filtered water, so we would need an in-line drinking water filter for our kitchen sink. He would also prefer NOT to have to depend on a plumber to install it.

Proximo asked:
The house was built in 1980, I do have a purifier for drinking water. My first guess is that the well is not deep enough, but unsure what I can do to get rid of the smell.
The water heater is brand new I believe, and the smell is evident in both the hot and cold water.
