Where can I get an adapter to connect a PUR water filter to a utility sink?

water filter
merlotony asked:

I purchased a PUR faucet mounted filter but it didn’t come with an adapter to fit my utility sink. The faucet on the utility sink has threads that are like a garden hose male side. I need an adapter that goes from that to a normal faucet type thread.
I looked on the Home depot web site and couldn’t find anything. Please provide a link if you are certain they sell it. Thanks.

How does a water filter with sand and rocks technically work? i’m having difficulty finding info?

water filter
AngusDK asked:

I have to do a project for school in which I must make a water filter…that will eventually filter impure, dirty water (no dye). I don’t really understand how it works, and maybe with that info, i’ll be able to make a better filter (and also there’s a section that i gotta tell a bit of the science of it)

How can one make a safe inexpensive water filter to make tap water safer and better tasting?

water filter
Dan P asked:

I think that one should be able to make a simple water filteration system using bottles/buckets, sand, gravel charcoal, etc. to make reasonably clean tap water safer and tastier.Although I found some, I could not find the information that I thought would be readily available on the internet. Any suggestions?
