Will a brita water filter filter out the alcohol in mouthwash?

water filter
impactofreasons asked:

I know that those brita filters can filter out impurities in cheap booze and make them taste alot better. I was wondering if it could filter out the alcohol in mouthwash?
I guess I phrased my question wrong.

I want the alcohol seperated from everything else in the mouthwash. So I want everything else filtered out.

What is the best portable water filter to use for hiking / travel?

water filter
Jesus Hippie asked:

I’m looking for something that really works well. A purifier, not just a filter. Something .2 micron (or smaller) and with a built-in way to automatically chemically treat the water (iodine/chlorine etc). There are several on the market and I’m looking for other peoples experiences and opinions. Something that could be used full time for weeks at a time on long trips where your only water source is creeks and lakes and in countries with questionable tap water.

What is wrong with my PUR water filter?

water filter
Nick asked:

I changed the filter and followed the directions correctly, but now the water will only filter halfway, leaving a lot in the chamber unfiltered at the top.

It didn’t used to do this; I have the stage 1 filter system.

I’ve been trying to run lots of water through the filter, but it still stops once the water can’t fall into the bottom.

What is this green water in my Brita Filter?

water filter
Dantes asked:

(Los Angeles) Every now and then, the water in my brita water filter turns green at the bottom. I’ve cleaned the filter many times and changed the filter itself. Is my filter growing algae or something or is the filter not catching something coming out of my faucet?!!

This is the second time it’s happened and I have not exceeded the lifespan of both filters. Is this green stuff going to cause me to get sick? I may have drank a cup or two without noticing.
