take both fish back to the store. neither are suitable for a small aquarium, nor should they be kept together. an angelfish is a large semi-aggressive tropical cichlid, a goldfish is large, bullish, messy coldwater fish.
and without a filter they will both make the water toxic within a matter of hours and die.
even if you got a filter now it needs to go through the nitrogen cycle BEFORE any fish is added, and this cycle takes anything from 2-6 weeks.

I always try to get a filter that is rated for double the size of the tank.

June 20, 2007 | 3:53 PMIf its under or around 5 gallons one or two sponge filters is about all you can do without making an insane current I especially like the Pen-Plax small world filter). 10 gallons and up I would highly Recomend the Penguin filters with the bio-wheel. Some of them are pretty expennsive. I have had good luck with the Tetra Whisper Filters too.

June 23, 2007 | 4:46 AMWow, you kinda put the cart before the horse here didn’t ya. Cat is right, you need to take the fish back, get a filter for the tank, get it cycled, then get fish. Also you need to research what fish are suitable for the size tank you have.
