Backpacking trip help please?

Well true ultra lighters skip the tent and opt for the tarp, wayy lighter than even the lightest 1 man tent. Just ask any Appalachian Trail Thru-Hiker You just need some rope and a tarp. Water purification I would go for tablets or crystals, remember ultra light.

-The last tarp on the bottom of the first page should be within your budget, it`s way cheaper than renting a light weight 2 man tent.

May 20, 2009 | 1:17 PMI don’t know about renting a tent, but this site has a 4 pound, 2 person backpacking tent for $150.
They also have water purifiers.
