Air purifier weird nose?

I purchased an air purifier. I had it on all night. When i woke up i noticed a weird almost hiss every now and then from the back. The sound is almost like a drop of water on a hot skillet, a hiss almost like that. Does anyone know what that is and it that bad?

December 2, 2008 | 9:56 AMIt sound like you have an air leak. The way these things work is the **** in air sends it through several filters and sends it back out. Yeh u need to get customer service.
